ULINK Technology Upgrades AI Engine in DA Drive Analyzer, Boosting Drive Failure Detection

Latest machine learning update delivers major performance gains for SATA HDDs, featuring enhanced on-device capabilities for high-security environments.

SANTA CLARA, CA, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — ULINK Technology today announced a major performance update to the artificial intelligence model powering its signature storage diagnostic software, DA Drive Analyzer, which was developed by ULINK Technology in partnership with QNAP Systems. Tested across a dataset of approximately 1.7 million storage drives, the updated AI model delivers an increase in overall failure detection, with major improvements in recall for SATA Hard Disk Drives (HDDs).

DA Drive Analyzer continuously monitors storage drive health across more than 99% of commercial drive models—including SATA, NVMe, and SCSI/SAS—to help predict drive failures and reduce the risk of data loss.

Key enhancements introduced in the latest model include:
  • Higher Failure Detection (Recall): An overall increase in recall, driven by improvements for SATA HDDs, reducing the risk of unexpected drive failures slipping through unnoticed.
  • Fewer False Alarms (Precision): A boost in overall precision, ensuring predicted failures are reliable and saving users time and budget on premature drive replacements.
  • Efficient by Design: A lightweight ensemble architecture keeps resource usage low enough to run at the edge, so the performance gain comes at no additional system cost.

“We constantly strive to improve DA Drive Analyzer with each new version to give our users ultimate peace of mind,” said Joseph Chen, CEO of ULINK Technology. “By boosting both precision and recall—especially on SATA HDDs—we are making proactive data protection more accurate, and accessible even in offline, high-security environments.”

“Data reliability and security are the foundation of business continuity for our customers across all deployment environments,” said Jack Liou, General Manager of QNAP, adding “Our strategic partnership with ULINK elevates DA Drive Analyzer on QNAP NAS, delivering high-precision, AI-powered failure prediction that empowers organizations to protect their critical assets effortlessly.”

Current DA Drive Analyzer users utilizing the service with an internet connection (in default or Cloud Mode) will automatically benefit from the upgraded AI model. Users who use the service in an offline-only capacity (in Standalone Mode) can re-install the app with the latest version to upgrade the AI model.
